On November 16 the CRTC will begin proceedings to review the Big Networks’ proposal to impose a TV Tax that will add up to $10 to every cable and satellite subscriber’s TV bill.

So far, tens of thousands of Canadians across the country have written letters to the CRTC asking that they stop this TV Tax.

But we must not rest on our laurels. As part of our presentation to the CRTC, cable and satellite providers would like to submit a petition telling the CRTC that Canadians do not want to hand out a $450 million bailout to companies that posted $400 million in operating profits last year alone.
